In many ways, this assortment of clothes revolve around the idea of being seen. What properties of a textile can contribute to their sight? These musings focused on a few hero words for Warren, reflect, refract, absorb… A refined cotton/silk shirting is selected for the beautiful and luminous way in which silk refracts light, providing a richness of tones - particularly when one moves.
While moving through the creation of this collection Warren considered the ways in which we embellish and decorate our clothes. A hand sewn floral patch, taken from the remnant cutting of the Pink Floral Peony Shirt, adds a textural contrast, a bouquet, and a permanent corsage. Perfect.
