About

Warren Steven Scott is a designer and craftsperson based in Toronto.

Born in White Rock, British Columbia, Scott is a member of the Nlaka’pamux Nation. Following a brief period of enrolment at a local college for horticultural studies, Scott realized his love for fashion was more than just a childhood dream and taught himself how to sew.

Launched in 2018, WSS has become a celebrated First Nations designer whose work bridges Western concepts of luxury slow fashion with ancestral Indigenous worldviews on ethics, craft, and aesthetic sensibilities.

He is forever indebted to Comrags, where he received his formal training after attaining his Bachelor of Design in Fashion; to the Indigenous Fashion Arts Festival, where he debuted his first collection, Sissy; and to the shores of the Pacific ocean where he spent his childhood combing the beaches for sand dollars.
