Layered ovoids representing the five stages of a solar eclipse. A gourd-shaped bead charm represents "Baily's beads": a phenomenon that occurs when the sunlight that shines through along the lunar limb exposes the rugged typography of the Moon's edge and visible surface.
1) Partial eclipse begins (the ovoid moon's shadow starts becoming visible over the ovoid sun's disc).
2) Total eclipse begins (almost entire disc of the sun is covered by the ovoid moon).
3) Maximum Eclipse/Totality (ovoid moon complete covered the disc of ovoid sun).
4) Total eclipse ends (ovoid moon begins moving away, and ovoid sun reappears, Baily's beads appear- rugged typography of the lunar limb allows beads of sunlight to shine through in some areas, while not in others ).
5) Partial Eclipse Ends (ovoid moon moves completely away from ovoid sun's disc).
Each "Baily's Bead"-ed charm is composed of vintage "conterie" Venetian glass seed beads. These beads were procured by Warren during a trip to Venice in the fall of 2025.
